Studio Backdrop Colors for Your Next Pet Session! Jacksonville, Florida Pet Photography

Excited for your upcoming studio pet session with AZ Photo Jax? We are too!

This is one of the first questions we will ask you before your pet photography session - What color backdrop would you like to use for your session? Hmmmm, something to think about…

Here are a few things to consider:
What colors do you enjoy seeing in your home?
Do you have a favorite/signature color that makes you happy?
Are there certain colors that will help your pup stand out from the background, or bring out their best features?

Check out our pet photography backdrop samples below. If you are still struggling to choose a color for your upcoming pet session, have no fear, we are here to help!

Bright White // simple, chic and versatile. Bright white is an easy go-to when you want your outfit to pop. Bright white is not recommend for pure white dog coats.

Warm White // a versatile creamy neutral that can be tinted slightly cooler (left) or warmer (right) in post-production.

Light Gray // a favorite neutral for customers, this transitional gray can be toned light to mid-gray, and warmer or slightly cooler to compliment the colors in the scene.

Fashion Gray // a stylish gray that can be toned slightly warmer or cooler. If you are a looking for a bit of drama, class and style, without going too bold with color, this is a solid choice.

Hand-painted Gray Canvas // this backdrop has a dark gray base with highlights of gold, and low lights of blue - the effect is rich yet subtle and can be adjusted in post production to bring out warmer or cooler tones to coordinate with your desired color-scheme. This backdrop does not extend onto the floor, but pairs beautifully with our dark gray concrete studio floors.

Pecan // just like pecan pie! This creamy brown is especially beautiful with brown, black and white coats.

Sky Blue // a coastal blue that can be tinted warmer (left) or cooler (right) in post-production.

Ultramarine // a deep-dark blue that is especially stunning when paired with contrasting tones. Ultramarine can be lit brightly in the studio (left) or toned to a deep navy.

Teal // where are my Jags fans? Ok, you don’t have to be a Duuuval Dog, to look great on this backdrop. Give it a try!

Yellow // if you have a sunny disposition, this may be the color for you! Yellow can be toned from light to dark, mellow to deeply saturated, depending on your taste. It is a fun choice for upbeat pups.

Coral // a perennial classic, this is my most requested backdrop color!

Flamingo // take a walk on the wild side with this flattering dark pink. It can be toned to a deep magenta or slightly mellowed to a watermelon hue.

Crimson // a bold color for bold pups.
